The Power of Being in the Right Room: Growth, Goals, and Masterminds

Recently, Stephen and I took some time to step back and think about our year during our annual beach trip. It’s a special time for us because we celebrate Stephen’s birthday and our anniversary, but we also use it to check in on our goals.

Traditionally, we’d set big goals at the start of the year and then forget about them until it was time to set new ones. We realized that to really achieve what we want, we need to review these goals more often. So now, we make it a point to check on our progress every few months—sometimes at a local coffee shop or during a mini-getaway.

These moments to reflect are key, especially when balancing what we want for our family with our business goals. It’s about making sure everything lines up and we’re headed in the right direction.

During our trip, we also checked in with some amazing friends! I had the chance to connect with a group of incredible businesswomen in a mastermind and reminded me of the power of your tribe and who you surround yourself with on the path to success! 

This experience just reminded me again how important it is to surround yourself with people who push you and make you think differently. Whether it’s in masterminds, retreats, or conferences, being in the right room with the right people can truly change your perspective and spur growth.

Investing in these kinds of relationships and experiences can be a game changer. It reminds us that we’re not supposed to go through life or business alone. The insights and encouragement from others who understand what you’re going through can be so uplifting.

Remember, whether you’re working on personal goals or building a business, it’s about taking small, clear steps toward big dreams. If you never look at your goals, how will you know you’re on track?
