The Power of Presence: My Journey to Creating More Margin in 2024

As we step into the early months of 2024, I’ve set a heartfelt goal for myself: to create more margin in my calendar. This isn’t just about managing time; it’s about making room for what truly matters – quality moments with my boys.

The Realization:

After the whirlwind of the holidays and intense planning for the new year, I realized I was on mental overdrive. Despite being thankful for the clarity in planning, I felt an overwhelming need to step back and breathe.

Our Refreshing Getaway:

Our post-New Year trip was a turning point. For the first time in a long while, we completely disconnected. Just precious moments with my family! It was a freeing and rejuvenating experience, reminding me of the importance of truly being present.

Returning with Renewed Perspective:

Coming back, I took a few extra days off. This short break was eye-opening. I returned to work with a renewed sense of awareness about how I spend my time, especially with my boys.

A Shift in Focus:

This awareness isn’t about reevaluating life; it’s about fine-tuning it. Being more in tune with the moments, being stricter with my commitments, ensuring that the time spent is meaningful and fulfilling.

Inspiration from the Conference:

At a recent mastermind event, a mentor shared a concept that struck a chord with me: our meetings should feel like a sabbatical from work. It was like someone gave me permission I didn’t know I needed… 

In a room full of hard workers and high-performing entrepreneurs, the reminder that our children’s time is fleeting and irreplaceable was powerful. It reinforced my belief that prioritizing family is the ultimate business strategy.

This journey is about more than time management; it’s about life management. It’s a commitment to not just being physically present but emotionally and mentally engaged with my children. Because, in the end, these moments are what we’ll cherish the most.
